Ess Sketch 42 and simon says challenge!

I had so much fun combining two challenges last night I thought I would do it again. I started these cards early this morning but then our electric went out due to a storm. So, I didn't get as much crafting done today as I would of liked. Funny, how we miss electric the most when its gone! Yeah though now the power is back! My kids made all kinds of funny comments about why we couldnt go out the garage door and how even the lights in the fridge were off. :) Kids...

So, back to business. The cards were inspired from a sketch over at Eat Sleep Stamp. The sketch is pretty simple but simple is good sometimes. It gives you a starting spot and gets the paper crafting flowing. I didn't stick to the sketch exactly but you can see it was my inspiration.

I also combined this with the challenge over at Simon Says to make some birthday cards. I can never have enough birthday cards in my stash. They never last!

So, I went ahead and made three. The paper is by SEI Grannys kitchen. Remember that paper line? Yup, i still have it and the challenge to use up my old stash continues. I inked up this cupcake stamps that also had never seen ink. Added stickles for sprinkles and liquid pears as faux brads. colored with copics. As you can see i'm having trouble getting these to photograph right. Its so frustrating. My camera is awesome outside but indoors this is what i get. ugh.

What wondeful cards Jen! And kudos for combining challenges. I find that in and of itself a challenge. I love your cards. You had me at the cupcakes. So glad you were able to play along this week. Hope you return soon.
