Color Throwdown #36 and Scor it week at 365 Cards
I'm really enjoying some of the different card making challenge websites that are out there. They get you to create color combinations and try things that you normally wouldn't. For example, this week at Color Throwdown the challenge was to use Pink, Orange and Turquoise. Anyone, that knows my normal style know Orange is not a color I usually pick. I have to be forced to use it I guess. I think the Orange paper was KI. I had bought a huge pack of assorted papers at a garage sale and I think this was one of the ones that was in it.
The second challenge was to use Chipboard. This was over at 365 Cards. This week 365 cards is having a score it week with a special challenge instead of a sketch. At first, I was like, hmmmm chipboard? That should be easy enough. Until I remembered my limited stash. Most of my scrapbooking stuff is in storage. I went searching and found a two whole pieces of chipboard! WHEW! I covered it in glue and added some martha stewart glitter in turquoise.
Chipboard adds dimension and you can alter it all sorts of ways to match your project. You can cover it in paper, glitter it, ink it... I really like to use glimmer mist on mine. The stamp is stamping bella and the ribbon is CTMH. I colored the image with the shown copics.
